PT. VAIRO FOOD, a company that own a popular Japanese franchise restaurant which currently have outlets in Japan, China, has now expanding our regional market to Indonesia. We believe strongly in developing and rewarding our employees.

CHEF/COOK


Responsibilities:

1. To set standards of production throughout restaurant and provide assistance and advise with regards to the planning and effective utilization of the company resource
2. Competent in managing the entire kitchen operations such as training, costing and stock ordering
3. To investigate food production problem with a view of taking whatever corrective action necessary in conjunction with management and with the approval of the management itself
4. To assist with the planning and design of the menu
5. To work closely with the outlet manager, purchasing and the company supplier, contractor and other department respective to ensure that all work are carried out within the agreed budget and time table and to be required standard
6. To assist with the costing and pricing of the menu and other food service having taken into consideration the profit margins laid down in the budgets
7. To check the food supplies from time to time to ensure that they conform to the quality standards laid down by the company
8. To assist with the development of implementation of training programs for the food and beverage staff and in particular kitchen personnel
9. Participate in stock rotation, delivery and requisitioning of stock in order to ensure cost effectiveness is achieve
10. Ensure dietary, nutritional and safely standard are adhered to in order to safeguard employees’ and customers’ health
11. Ensure quality and freshness of all food preparation
12. To ensure the business operations are effective and efficient

Requirement:

1. Candidates must possess at least Professional Certificate in Hotel Management/Culinary/F&B Services Management or equivalent
2. Required skill(s) : food presentation, food cooking, following recipes, team leading, team training
3. Knowledge in Japanese cuisine is an added advantage
4. At least 3 years of working experience in the related field is required
5. Must be willing to work on shift and able to work in a team
6. Independent, good leadership, excellent interpersonal skills with positive working attitude
7. Has the passion for Hospitality and Services business
8. Computer literate and Fluent in English, both oral and written
9. Able to work on weekend and public holidays
